Senior Program Manager

A client with Kforce is seeking a Senior Program Manager for a hybrid role in Jacksonville, FL. This position involves planning and coordinating all aspects of technical projects from initiation through delivery, managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. The role requires strong leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, strategic delivery, ROI accountability, and expertise in payments, governance, risk, and compliance. The manager will coordinate activities among project teams, internal departments, clients, and vendors to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.

Must Have

• Plan and coordinate all aspects of technical projects from initiation through delivery
• Manage project initiation activities including identifying contractual obligations, client needs, and goals
• Ensure requirements for internal technology projects align to operational standards
• Develop, define, and execute project plans, scope, activities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Identify needed resources for projects and define/assign major project roles
• Coordinate activities and tasks among project team members, internal departments, clients, and vendors
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or equivalent
• Strong technical background

• Strong experience in executive stakeholder engagement, influencing at C-suite level
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale platform initiatives with global impact
• Skilled in managing cross-functional teams (engineering, product, compliance, operations)

• Expertise in business case development, cost-benefit analysis
• Ability to prioritize investments and optimize resources for maximum business impact
• Experience with modern platform technologies (API-driven architecture, cloud migration, microservices)
• Understanding of payments ecosystems, merchant acquiring, settlement, tokenisation, and regulatory compliance
• Strong command of programme governance frameworks (e.g. Agile)
• Proven ability to manage risk and regulatory requirements in a highly regulated industry
• Skilled in vendor and third-party management
• Exceptional change management skills to drive adoption across global teams
• Ability to craft and deliver clear communication strategies for senior leadership and operational teams

Description

A client with Kforce is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join their team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a hybrid work opportunity with 1-2 days in office. Overview:

• The development of new or upgraded products and services
• Internal information system-specific projects that may involve the development or enhancement of internal applications, technology integration, and/or infrastructure environment build-out
• Delivery by service teams for outsourced solutions to external clients; Or delivery of new or enhanced products and/or services to improve customer satisfaction through the use of technology, which may include customizations to base products to meet client requirements

Key Tasks:

• Senior Program Manager will plan and coordinate all aspects of technical projects from initiation through delivery
• Manages project initiation activities that include identifying contractual obligations, client needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts, and access to existing information as needed
• Ensures requirements for internal technology projects align to operational standards; Develop alternate requirements or document exceptions as appropriate
• Develops, defines and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables
• As a Senior Program Manager, you will identify needed resources for projects, define and assign major project roles
• Coordinates activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget constraints, and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
• A strong technical background is required to manage technical projects and handle competing interests

Proven Leadership in Complex, Multi-Stakeholder Environments:

• Strong experience in executive stakeholder engagement, influencing at C-suite level
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale platform initiatives with global impact
• Skilled in managing cross-functional teams (engineering, product, compliance, operations) and aligning them to strategic objectives
